What we do

We work only within the jurisdiction of the Catholic Diocese of Kontagora that cuts across parts of Niger, Kebbi and Zamfara States. Our Human Rights Awareness is via Workshops/Seminars and media engagement.

All our teachings on human Rights & Justice are based on the Catholic Social teachings, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the global trends on Fundamental Human Rights.

We advocate for peaceful resolution of every conflict situation through the application of Alternative Dispute Resolution as going to court or the police is always considered the last option.

We have Animators in all our parish communities as the first to contact through your community leaders if there is need for interventions or to report any Human rights abuse or injustice.

We work only with those who are committed to us as we are committed to them.

Our Current Project

Addressing The Structural Causes of Human Rights Abuses and Injustice with the following objectives:

To Corroborate legal aid and human rights awareness campaign for justice

To organize Human rights awareness workshops and seminars to expose and educate our target group on their fundamental Human Rights and on how to be responsible for preserving them.

To intervene in some situations of Human rights abuses or injustice so as to help the oppressed and the under-privileged have more access to justice.

To address the structural causes of human rights abuses and injustice by engaging the law enforcement agents and traditional rulers in a discussion forum and by paying advocacy visit to top government officials, high ranking Traditional rulers, police officers, prison authority etc.

2. Women empowerment and micro credit programme. Promic for small scale business women. This programme is supported by Swiss Hand Foundation, Swiziland.
